They are required at most outdoor fields and MilSim events to prevent environmental damage. Biodegradable BBs must be used if there is any chance of impact off the playing field. They perform just as well as standard BBs but break down naturally over time.
Using cheap BBs with visible seams, air bubbles, or inconsistent sizing will destroy your accuracy and can cause serious damage to your gun's internal parts, especially the hop-up and inner barrel. Always use high-quality, seamless, polished BBs. We recommand BLS Products !
Most serious players now use 0.28g or 0.30g BBs for better accuracy and wind resistance. Lighter BBs (0.20g and 0.12g) are typically only used for accessory devices like airsoft grenades or in specific indoor CQB settings where long-range shots are unnecessary. Heavier BBs (0.32g+) are reserved for high-powered DMRs and sniper rifles.
